Happy Thanksgiving!

The days leading up to Thanksgiving are always full of thoughts and peace in my heart. I am happy there is a holiday that recognizes the act of giving thanks. I also always tell myself there is no reason being thankful shouldn't be a daily occurence. I AM thankful for things daily and I work hard all year to thank those around me and to be thankful for things going on in my life. Whether these things are good or bad, there is always something to learn from an experience and be thankful for.

Thanksgiving was never meant to be shut up in a single day. ~Robert Caspar Lintner

I want to use this post to put my thanks in line....

I am thankful for:

~My very loving, caring, sweet, supportive, AMAZING parents. I have a great relationship with my parents and I am extremely thankful for that. They have been there for me my whole life.

~My younger brother. He is very smart and caring. We also have a great relationship. He is like a best friend and I value the time we get to spend together amidst our busy schedules.

~My Grandma Betty. I am so thankful for the huge amount of love and support she has given me my whole life. She has taught me A LOT and I am thankful for her love and wisdom.

~My grandma and grandpa Lindley. I am thankful for their love and support. I don't see them that often but I know they think of me often and love me always.

~My Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. I am SO thankful I have grown up so close with my cousins and had my aunts and uncles around as my other parents. Everyone lives in Utah and I am so thankful that they are all within reach. They are all so loving and caring.

~My FRIENDS!
Old friends: I am still very close with a handful of my friends from high school. I am thankful
that we we still find time to get together and have a good time like we always
did in the past.

Work friends: I have met the most caring and incredible people through work. We have so
much in common with our personalities and can laugh, cry and tell stories
together. We occasionally go out and always have a great time.

New friends: Very recently I have met many amazing people up at school. I am thankful for
becoming involved and meeting these people and having a BLAST.

~Heavenly Father. I know I am not great at getting to church all the time or being prayerful, but I know his love for me is strong and I believe that's why I have had a happy and wonderful life.

~My job. I have the best job in the world! I feel as though I have found the place I want to work for a long long long time. I feel so grateful to work with the patient population that I do. The patients are so inspiring and are so strong. Children are a great gift to everyone and I am so thankful to get to work around them and see them go beyond expectations.

~My home. I am thankful that I have a warm place to sleep, a warm place to shower, and a place to call home. There are many who aren't as fortunate and it pains my heart to know there are people suffering. I know I take for granted the shelter I have and the facilities that I use. I am thankful to have a home sweet home.

~My health. I know that I put myself down sometimes for being out of shape, but being healthy is much much more than that. I am fortunate to have a healthy heart, my legs and arms, sight, hearing and most of all, a happy heart. I know there are many depressed and sad people in this world and I am fortunate to have such a happy outlook on life. After much thought, I am a healthy person and I am thankful for that.

~My education. The last few years I have taken school for granted. Until now, I have never appreciated learning and it showed in my grades and my motivation to do well. I am thankful that I have found the motivation to well and get throught school. I have realized not all youth go on to higher education for one reason or another, and I am thankful it has been an opportunity that I have.

~Utah Football! I am thankful for the Runnin' Utes and how well they have done for themselves this season. They are so fun to watch and I can't wait to see what they have in store for the future.

~Music! Music is such a descriptor for my mood. I am always listening to music and getting lost in the lyrics. I am thankful for the great daily getaway to be entranced in some wonderful music.

~Pictures. Memories are so important and I am thankful for the ability to document adventures and the great things in life.

~Laughter!!! Where would anyone be without laughter!!! I am so thankful that I can laugh and I do it ALL THE TIME!!!

~Nature. Need I say more??

~I am thankful for all things!!!!!

I am thankful for my WONDERFUL life! :)

For each new morning with its light,
For rest and shelter of the night,
For health and food, for love and friends,
For everything Thy goodness sends.~Ralph Waldo Emerson
For flowers that bloom about our feet;

For tender grass, so fresh, so sweet;
For song of bird, and hum of bee;
For all things fair we hear or see,
Father in heaven, we thank Thee!~Ralph Waldo Emerson

"As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them." ~John F. Kennedy
